A CLHF is a residential home designed and equipped to offer inpatient services to its residents. The care that a CLHF can provide is more intense than what a skilled nursing care facility (i.e nursing home) offers but less intense than the care provided in a general acute hospital.
A CLHF will provide the following services for its residents:
- Skilled nursing care on a recurring, intermittent, extended or continuous basis
- Medical supervision
- Dietary and nutrition
- Pharmaceutical
- Social and recreational activity program
A Congregate Living Health Facility may admit and accept patients according to their state license type.
- “CLHF-A” facilities may provide care to individuals who are mentally alert, physically disabled, and may be ventilator dependent.
- “CLHF-B” facilities may provide care to ndividuals who have a diagnosis of terminal illness, a diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, or both
- “CLHF-C” facilities may provide care to Individuals who are catastrophically and/or severely disabled
Healwise is a fully licensed CLHF-A and CLHF-C facility.
At the end of the day, our focus is not "outcompeting" other CLHFs. We truly believe that we are all providing a valuable and much needed service to those who have often been overlooked by today's medical system.
